- FPWS: Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors. In 1997 the Government introduced party wall legislation across the whole of England & Wales in the form of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. The Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors was born out of a need for education and support for building surveyors and other professionals, but also to enhance awareness and provide advice and guidance to the general public.
- Pyramus & Thisbe Club: The P&T seeks to advance knowledge of party wall legislation and procedure and to promote best professional practice in its application.
The Club played a pivotal role in the framing of the present Party Wall etc. Act 1996
Founded in 1974 by leading party wall surveyors, the Club is organised on a regional basis throughout England and Wales, with each branch having its own Chairman and programme of events
The name of the Club comes from the characters of Pyramus and Thisbe in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream: two lovers separated by a wall and who come to a sad end as a result of a dispute between their fathers.

- CIOB: Have a Royal Charter to promote the science and practice of building and construction for the benefit of society, and we’ve been doing that since 1834. Our members work worldwide in the development, conservation and improvement of the built environment.
- MCABE: Chartered Association of Building Engineers (MCABE) is the leading body for professionals specialising in the design, construction, evaluation and maintenance of buildings.
